Norse Projects x Paraboot | A collaboration between two heavy hitters

We are incredibly pleased to announce that we can offer this unique collaboration between two special brands of ours.

Norse Projects and Paraboot join forces

Before we dive into the shoe, let's start by giving you a brief introduction to the brands.

Norse Projects, founded in 2004, is a creative studio and brand rooted in Scandinavian philosophy, operating at the intersection of art, design, and function. Known for its clean Nordic aesthetic, Norse Projects emphasizes timeless, functional design driven by research, innovation, and a deep connection to contemporary culture, architecture, and the natural landscapes of the North.

Paraboot, a storied name in French shoemaking, represents over a century of craftsmanship and heritage. Built on the foundations of France’s industrial history, the brand has been passed down through four generations, blending tradition with innovation. Its legacy is shaped by the passion and dedication of the people behind it; a human story at the heart of a preserved and daring creative universe.

Thiers/Rocade shape and colours

This special edition of the Thiers/Rocade shoe by Paraboot for Norse Projects pays homage to the Kanonbådsskure; historic gunboat sheds in Copenhagen’s Holmen district. Originally built in 1820 to store Royal Danish Navy vessels, these timber-framed structures now house architecture studios and the Norse Projects design studio.

The Thiers/Rocade is based on a classic 1960s Paraboot silhouette, updated with leather laces and the lightweight “Rocade” rubber outsole, a carefully selected design from the Paraboot archives, made in France. Crafted with a suede upper, leather lining, and finished with Blake stitching, the Thiers features a refined, traditional last with a rounded, slightly shorter toe.

The Norse Projects x Paraboot Thiers/Rocade is now available both in-store and online at Vic in Groningen.
