Stone Island Denim Research makes its return for Fall/Winter ’025–’026 with a new collection that redefines the potential of denim. Drawing on its deep expertise in material innovation, the brand merges advanced textile technology with one of fashion’s most iconic fabrics. The collection features a mix of cutting-edge materials such as Indigo Polypropylene Denim, David Light Indigo-TC, and Micro Corduroy alongside a classic Japanese raw selvage denim.

Denim, the Stone Island way

Paying homage to its heritage, each piece from the Denim Research line is marked by a special blue/black badge featuring a blue compass logo, and nickel shank buttons custom-made to emphasize the project’s unique identity.

The use of technical fibers by Stone Island redefines what denim can be. Indigo Polypropylene Denim utilizes one of the world’s lightest fibers, known for its hollow structure. When combined with cotton yarn and denim tela, it achieves the authentic look of traditional denim while remaining remarkably lightweight. Micro Corduroy, crafted from indigo-dyed cotton and white polyester, takes inspiration from classic denim tones but adds a tactile, ridged surface. Each garment is finished with a rinsing process.

Other standout materials include Hollow Fibre Nylon Indigo-TC, a hollow-structured nylon that keeps pieces exceptionally light, and David Light Indigo-TC, a refined fabric woven from Japanese polyester/polyamide yarns and treated with indigo pigment. An anti-drop agent integrated into the complex dyeing process enhances both the texture and durability of the material.

The collection’s five-pocket jeans are available in a range of rinses; from regular and light wash to raw and selvage, designed to evolve with wear, naturally fading and shaping to the body over time.
