On May 24th, Vic is hosting a huge clearance sale at one of the most iconic cultural hotspots in Groningen: the Grand Theatre.

Located on the Grote Markt, the Grand Theatre is more than just a venue it’s a building steeped in history and creative energy. Originally opened as a cinema in 1930, it has witnessed nearly a century of cultural change. It miraculously survived the heavy fighting inside the city center during the liberation of Groningen in 1945, even as much of the surrounding area was destroyed. After the cinema went bankrupt in 1977, a group of squatters brought the space back to life by organizing performances. This spirit of experimentation never left and today, Grand Theatre is a dynamic production house and playground for art, theater, and festivals like Noorderzon and Jonge Harten.
